Shiny vintage Airstream motorhome 350

Vintage Airstream Rally - Diane's 1948

The inspiration for our travel, was warmer weather, and the opportunity to see vintage Airstreams.
Texas Hills Lake Unit has held their vintage rally every other year.
Lots of vintage Airstreams.

The oldest Airstream at the THLU Vintage Airstream rally - a highly polished 1948 Wee Wind.

Shuttle, Shuttle - NASA Houston

Easy to see this shuttle, outside the entrance to Houston's NASA Museum.

Found the missing Star Trek shuttle!

Houston, We Have No Problem

Museum of Recent History - Houston's NASA
As it started to rain, we headed inside remember.

Life's a Beach - Then...You Walk

This morning we had the entire beach to ourselves!
No people.  Yes wildlife.  Water!

Shake it off!

Jellyfish!
Too late to save this guy.  I don't know enough about them to know if another animal feeds on these.

Shark!  This baby was trapped in a tiny puddle of water after the high tide receded.  Scott scooped it out into the gulf where it swiftly swam away.  Have a good life little shark

Birds!

Galveston, Oh Galveston!

What beautiful architecture!
There are such opportunities here with the historic buildings in old town.

The gray skies and spitting rain did not detour us from watching ships on the east point.

While this is not a foodie blog, I've got to share a restaurant recommendation.  We ate numerous most wonderful meals in Galveston, in fact everything except breakfast!  We enjoyed them all and will mention our crayfish lunch at Benno's.

Fish tacos and shrimp Po-Boy at The Spot.

Nightfall on the Gulf of Mexico

So glad we were heading south to start our adventure in Galveston TX as we watched the bumper to bumper to bumper to bumper cars heading back north to Houston from their weekends on the island.

Sitting outside alone at our luxury campsite at dusk, it's so beautiful.

Three D and Flat as a .....

We started a collection of Byam with bison statue photos.
So we stopped for lunch - yummy pumpkin pancakes.

Green Leaves of Spring

Leaving near-freezing temperatures, we traveled south far enough for sunny skies and 70 degree temperatures.  Greenleaf State Park OK offered us a tree-canopied, huge site overlooking the lake.
Walking around without coats.  Ahhhhhhh......
Let the winter dog-hair shedding begin!

Sister Power!

From Byam's Mom & "Dad"

Tell Byam her sister " Rae" has become the first ever Grand Dual Champion. She just earned enough extra field trial points to become a grand field champion and she already had her grand show champion title(show champion with extra points). So she now has the first ever brittany grand dual champion title. Linda e-mailed me today.

I had a good weekend ...last week end and picked up a couple master hunter passes on Byam's 1/2 sister, "Star".
