Summer of 2012 - Byam in the Airstream

 

Not welcome in a boat, Byam spent this day napping in our Airstream.
This was my first time in a kayak, and I was so happily excited to try this new adventure.  Until we were pushed into the water by our guide.  The plan was to paddle over past Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.  We made it, even spending an extra half hour to paddle through an arch in the rocks - fantastic! 

 

While not the youngest "athletes" on the water, we were not last to arrive back on shore. I want to go again... just not tomorrow, my muscles ache.
